Antique Russian Apothecary Bottle – R. Keller & Co., Moscow – Textured Clear Glass – c.1880–1910 Imperial Russia
 
Description:
A scarce and highly desirable antique Russian apothecary bottle embossed in Cyrillic with “Р. КЕЛЕРЬ & К° / МОСКВА” (R. Keller & Co., Moscow). R. Keller & Co. was a prominent late-Imperial pharmaceutical and chemical supplier active in Moscow during the late 19th and very early 20th century.
This bottle features a distinctive triangular base, heavily textured body, and deep vertical panel embossing typical of Russian pharmacy glass of the pre-Revolution era. The long, narrow neck and flared lip suggest it originally held tinctures, extracts, or medicinal preparations.
The underside bears raised Cyrillic mould markings, consistent with late-Imperial Russian glassworks before nationalisation in the 1920s. Bottles from Keller & Co. are well-documented but remain difficult to find outside Eastern Europe, making this a strong collector’s piece.
