A striking and elegant mid-century solid brass crane / heron sculpture, featuring a dramatic spread-wing pose and tall, elongated legs. Standing approximately 12 inches tall, this sculpture embodies the popular 1950s–1970s decorative brass aesthetic, reminiscent of Hollywood Regency and Asian-influenced modernism.
The bird is rendered in a stylised, elongated form with textured feather detail across the wings and a poised downward-curved neck. The crane stands on two long brass rods mounted into a round textured base with foot impressions, giving a light and elevated profile typical of mid-century brass design. These large brass birds were widely used in interior décor throughout the 1960s–1970s and are now desirable as statement pieces.
