Antique Lysol Disinfectant Bottle – Amber Glass with Original Label – Poisons Marking – c.1915–1930 U.S.A.

Description:
An attractive and increasingly hard-to-find antique Lysol Disinfectant bottle in rich amber glass, complete with its original full paper label and prominent “POISON – Not to be taken” warning. Bottles of this type were produced in the United States during the early 20th century, generally between c.1915–1930, for surgical, household, and general disinfecting applications.

The bottle displays classic early Lysol characteristics: a deeply moulded lattice shoulder pattern, the L monogram inside a star emblem, and a wide paper label filled with detailed period instructions. The label references 5% v/v Cresols, historically used as Lysol’s primary active ingredient during the pre-war era.

The domed push-up base and machine-made finish align with early industrial American glass production. Though the base bears no glassworks mark, the form is consistent with known antique Lysol bottles produced for Lehn & Fink by East Coast manufacturers.

A strong example of an antique branded disinfectant bottle — especially desirable with such a complete original label.
