Antique Ukrainian / Soviet-Era Essence Bottle – Aqua Glass with Original Cyrillic Label – c.1920s–1940s
Description:
A rare surviving Ukrainian / Soviet-era chemical or flavouring essence bottle, still retaining its original multi-coloured Cyrillic paper label. The bottle is blown/moulded in a striking aqua-blue glass, with a distinctive flattened triangular body and long tapering neck — a common form for small household chemical and medicinal products issued across Ukraine and the broader USSR from the interwar period through the 1940s.The front label includes strong Cyrillic typography with boxed warnings such as “НЕБЕЗПЕЧНО!” (Danger!), dilution instructions, and safety notices. Lower text identifies the manufacturing authority under the Ukrainian SSR (УССР), making this a genuine early Soviet consumer-chemistry artefact. These paper-labelled bottles rarely survive intact due to fragility and post-use cleaning, making this an unusually complete example.
