You’d be forgiven for thinking that Beni Ourain only come in white or cream because traditionally they were woven using natural undyed wool. But contemporary Beni Ourain rugs, like the ones in our collection, also feature beautiful tonal designs in soft pastel and earthy tones.
This Beni Ourain rug is absolutely divine. Its neutral warm color make for a simple feel but because the weaver has used different tones in the same color it gives it an amazing textural design. All our rugs are so much better in real life and this one is my absolute favourite, definitely a keeper.

This Rug was handwoven in the Beni Ourain area in the middle Atlas mountain region of Morocco. Made from all natural fibers with wool coming from sheep in the local area.
A circular process from start to finish, the local community gather the sheep’s wool to process, dye and spin in the villages of the Beni Ourain regions making it ready for weaving.

This rug has been handmade by women from the Beni Ourain region in the middle Atlas mountains who have learnt techniques from their ancestors. They do their magic on the loom -literally- incorporating ancient symbols to deflect the evil eye and bring good luck to both the maker and rug in your home.
