This squat, round-shouldered form with narrow neck is typical of early 20th-century pharmaceutical and chemical bottles used for carbolic acid, disinfectants, and other hazardous compounds.
The base is clearly embossed “M798” along with the AGM (Australian Glass Manufacturers) mark — identifying it as an Australian-made piece dating approximately from the 1920s to 1940s, when AGM produced a wide range of amber chemist and poison ware.
