Description: A lively set of four vintage hand-carved wooden figurines depicting classic nautical characters — including two sailors with steins, a fisherman with a net pole, and a tall captain in his bright jacket and cap. Each figure is individually carved and hand-painted, showcasing the bold, faceted cuts and exaggerated features typical of mid-century coastal folk-art traditions from Scandinavia and Northern Europe.

Produced circa 1950s–1970s, these figurines reflect the charm, humour, and personality associated with small workshop and cottage-industry carvers who specialised in maritime subjects. With their rosy cheeks, stout silhouettes, and expressive postures, they make a highly characterful display whether arranged as a unified group or scattered individually.
